Flavorings

After the aging process, tobacco that’s destined to become Chew is taken out of the aging barrels and allowed to dry. Once it’s lost most of it’s moisture, more flavorings are added to the whole tobacco leaves. These flavorings are almost always in the form of a thick syrup like molasses or corn syrup and give Chew a slightly sweeter flavor than Dip. After the syrup is applied, the tobacco leaves are allowed to dry a second time before trimmed of any thick ribs and packaged in foil lined, resealable pouches. So, the first main difference between Dip and Chew is that Dip is a shredded tobacco product while Chew is a whole leaf one. The other difference is the way it’s used!
