Aging & Shredding

So, what makes Dip and Chew different? It’s the next steps that make them different and it starts after the aging process. Once the tobacco had cured, it’s placed in large wooden barrels where flavorings and sweeteners are added. The tobacco is then allowed to age for up to 24 months during which the tobacco mellows and absorbs even more flavors. It’s here where Dip and Chew go their separate ways. After the aging process, Dip is taken to the factory and shredded into three different types; fine, Long Cut and a newer cut, Super Long Cut. After shredding, the tobacco is canned and shipped out to retailers all over the world. Chew on the other hand, has a few more steps in it’s process.
